Literacy for the iGeneration

Today in class we spent the majority of the time presenting our mini lessons. At the beginning of class, Professor Jacobs discussed the books that we will be using for next semester. She also talked briefly about what we will be doing in class during finals week. Next week, our class will be finishing up mini lessons for people who did get the chance to present tonight, sharing our digital stories with our classmates and filling out a self assessment for the course. She also mentioned that there will be food on Tuesday! Anyways, I thought the people who presented their mini lessons tonight had some really creative ideas. Everyone did a nice job getting the class engaged in their topics by making their lessons both fun and interactive. This was a great learning experience. I look forward to using some of these activities in my own classroom once I start teaching.
